David Chick, Australia
Duke University – Master in International Development Policy
David earned a BA in Political Science and Mandarin and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland. He has recently completed his Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, where he studied international humanitarian law and dispute settlement. David practiced company and commercial law for several years. From 1999, he has worked as a member of the Australian Public Service first in the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts and later in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, where he was a Senior Advisor in the National Security Division. Following his studies, David would like to work in policy development for countries in conflict, and assist in shaping public policy toward humanitarian standards.
