Juan Esteban Ugarriza, Colombia

Juan Esteban received his Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication and Journalism from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia. During his studies, Juan Esteban had opportunities to work in local broadcasting, economics-focused journalism, and internet editing for the magazine industry. In 2001, he was selected to work with the United Nations on the General Assembly sessions on Refugees and HIV/AIDS. Juan Esteban is currently working as an International Affairs Journalist for El Colombiano newspaper. Upon completion of the program, Juan Esteban hopes to work in international communications and conflict resolution.
